Getting the Job
Easy. Just involves some running around. Definately worth it in the end in my opinion. The hardest thing was probably just getting past the Chigoe's in Caedarva Mire, but luckily for me I only encountered one little bastard and was able to easily get by it without conflict.
Attachments
The puppetmaster attachments range from quite cheap to super expensive. The basic ones can be bought on the AH for about 10k, then there are more expensive attachments that can get all the way up to 600k, but these are obtainable through ENM- Pulling the Strings for PUP so buying them is definately not advisable.
Frame/Head
You start with a Harlequin frame and head, which is decent but after you hit 10 you should definately look into getting a new frame and head. There are three other frames. I don't remember the names of them, except for the mage one. There are 3 optional frame/body types, Ranged Attack type, Fighter type, and Mage Type (Stormwaker). You can also interchange the frames and heads. For example, you can have a Harlequin Frame and the Stormwaker Head, it all depends on how you want to utilize your puppet. These frames and heads also free up elemental points which you need to have to attach certain attachments. Each attachment has a certain number of points that are used to attach it. For example, the Harlequin has 5 Thunder points on it. Volt Gun and Heat Seeker (Attachments) require points, 2 and 1 respectively, now I have 3/5 Thunder with 2 still left open for other attachments. There are 12 available slots for attachments.
Maneuvers
You use these to either
-Make your puppet cast certain things
-Activate attachments.
-Add stats (May be part of #2)
I don't really fully understand the capabilities of these yet because I still have my harlequin frame until tomorrow morning when my new frame is completed (takes NPC til midnight JST)
Upgrades
Additional information pertaining to frames and heads. You can do a upgrade every 10 levels, each level requires different items to give to the NPC. After taking the items, the NPC says you need to give him some time= Come back midnight JST
Leveling 1-10
Insane. Tear through even match like paper. Best way to do it is to go in a crowded area of low non linking mobs (Beginning zones duh) and sic your puppet on a mob while you fight another. Instead of 1 shotting stuff and moving on to the next together, why not just kill two birds with one stone, or two…crawlers whatever.
